Fifteen of our Cubs joined Cubs from all over Oxford had a fantastic day on the water on Saturday 22 June. The 33rd Oxford Boat Base hosted almost 90 Cubs over the course of the day and we took part in the morning session. The Cubs completed special water activities passports in advance, to check they knew how to stay safe, and they each got to try out three different activities: kayaking, canoeing and pulling. All of the Cubs earned their Water Activities badges.

Despite very dubious forecasts we barely got rained on, and we even managed to get a bit of a tan while the sun was shining. But this didn’t mean that the Cubs didn’t get wet – a lot of them opted to take a swim after they’d finished kayaking!

Thank you to everyone who helped out, including the leaders from 33rd Oxford, 22nd Oxford and 2nd Abingdon – and others – who gave up their Saturday to give the Cubs this wonderful  day.
