We had a fantastic time on Group Camp, which took place at 24th Abingdon HQ in Dry Sandford. We were joined by almost 100 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, plus around 30 adults, for a weekend of spy themed activities.

Camp began on Friday evening with a viewing of Spy Kids, before supper and bed. After at least a couple of hours sleep (!!) they were up and ready to go on an action packed day of activities. A breakfast of sausages and eggy bread ensured that we were set for the day, before participating in a full programme of spy skills: boating, climbing, caving, archery, Morse code, bomb disposal, laser beam evasion and rope making.

On Saturday evening we had a camp fire, led by Bagheera and Chil, before a much earlier bedtime and some much quieter Cubs. Sunday morning was spent packing up and taking the tents down, before we played an exciting wide game through the woods.

Everyone who attended received Spy Camp badge for their blanket.

Thank you in particular to Giles for planning and running the camp, to the chefs for the delicious meals and to all the leaders and parents who made the camp possible.
