24 February 2019: Litter Pick

For our World Challenge we have completed a community project, picking litter from the playing field and playground behind Exeter Hall.

Before half term we thought about what we could do to help in the local community. In our Sixes we made a list of the various different groups types of projects that Cub Scouts might be able to carry out. The Cubs all agreed on a litter pick and the location was selected.

We were lucky enough to have chosen a day in the middle of the February heat-wave, so we stripped down and got to work - the Cubs split into pairs and each pair had a sack to fill and a picking stick to work with - after an hour we had an impressive number of filled bags and the play areas were looking fantastic.
