10 January 2019: Box Forts

As voted for by the Cubs - this was our first ever attempt at creating box forts! The Pack were split into four team, each taking one quarter of the hall. The huge number of boxes that we had managed to collect were placed in the centre of the room, tape and scissors were provided and they set to work.

Half an hour later we had four forts, one magnificent and stable looking, two passable and one which was, to be honest, a haphazard pile of boxes. Each team were given an equal number of beanbags to start with and the race was on: ten minutes to try and end up with as few beanbags as possible in their area, no throwing above waist level and if you get hit you're out for two minutes ...

And the champions were ... the team with haphazard pile of boxes! It turns out that if you have no-where to hide you are more likely to spend your time chucking back beanbags - and no-one really bothers to attack a heap of boxes ...

Well done everyone - great job!
