We had more than 50 Cubs, from eight different Packs, at our first District Trading Posts competition. Eleven Cubs attended from our Pack.

The Cubs worked in teams of two or three to try and earn as much money as possible over the course of the afternoon. Each team was given £30 to get a started and they then chose which activities to complete. Once an activity was completed they were able to sell it back and receive a payment based on how well they had done. The activities ranged from press-ups and eating cream crackers, through knowing the promise, law and motto, making paper boats, solving anagrams, tying knots, tracking, sign language, to logic puzzles and maths problems.

The winning team was from 43rd Oxford, finishing in a clear first place with almost £400. A team from 33rd Oxford (Mowgli) finished in second place, with 2nd Oxford finishing in third place.

Well done to all Cubs who took part and a huge thank you to all the adults who gave up their afternoon to man the bases - we couldn't have done it without you all!
