9-10 December 2017: Christmas Sleepover

We had a very Christmassy time at our Pack sleepover at the Scout hut for a weekend of festive fun.

After splitting into their teams (Santas, Crackers, Sprouts and Elves) we started the weekend with a Christmas quiz and a paper making chain contest. We then worked in teams to create amazing Christmas characters before sewing our own Christmas stockings.

After a drink and snack it was time for another game and then some beautifully crafted salt dough decorations.

Dinner was a Christmas roast (thank you to our expert chef) and several Cubs declared it to be even more delicious than what they get at home. Feeling well fed, they got into their pyjamas, collected their pillows and watched their Christmas movie of choice (Arthur Christmas), with a popcorn break in the middle.

The Cubs were wide awake by 7am on Sunday morning and once we saw the snow we knew we'd need a programme change for the morning. After getting packed up and eating breakfast (with filled stockings!) it was time to decorate their ornaments and then we went outdoors to throw snowballs, make snow angels and build snowmen. We then played lots of games and created Christmas scenes before finishing the camp with pass the parcel.
