This was a medieval camp (with surprisingly good weather) organised by the Akela of Mowgli Pack. It was our first joint camp and certainly won't be our last!

On Saturday morning the Knights pitched their tents before constructing terrifying dragons to defend their territory (and getting green paint on everything in the process). After lunch the four teams competed in the quest for the Golden Goblet, hunting around Kidlington for clues and finally tracking it down at the lake, where the gatekeeper tested their observation skills. This was followed by a dragon hunt before trekking back to camp for a medieval feast and camp fire.

On Sunday morning a delicious pancake breakfast prepared the Knights for tent inspection and Scouts' Own before embarking on a day of medieval fun: dragon racing, maiden rescuing and court jester skills. The camp concluded with the investiture of three Mowgli Cubs.
