The District Football Competition is one of the District events in which we always do very well. We have a lot of excellent football players in our Pack and even though half of them were playing in tournaments for their teams at the same time (and couldn't make it) we still had two fantastic teams on the day.

There were a total of eleven teams in the competition, which kicked off at 10am on Sunday morning. Our teams (Cherwell and Isis) were in different groups and after a morning of impressive play Cherwell finished top of their group with 10 points out of a possible 12, while Isis finished in joint second place with 10 points out of a possible 15, but were bumped into third on goal difference by the Pack from 3rd Oxford.

Cherwell then beat 3rd Oxford in the semi-finals and took a 3-0 victory against 28th Oxford in the finals. Despite the erratic weather everyone had a fantastic time and the Cubs thoroughly deserved the trophies they took home.
