Remembrance Day Parade (11 November 2012)

Remembrance Day is one of the key dates in the Scouting calendar and is one of the few times in the year that Scouting is visible to members of the public. The Cubs meet at the Church, together with other members of the Group and other uniformed organisations and members of the public, for a service. They then gather at the memorial for the 11am silence before parading through Kidlington and finishing at the Tesco car park.

We expect all Cubs to attend this event (except for the Sixers and Seconders who are on their own camp and who will be attending the parade in Oxford city centre). Cubs who do not attend need to have a good excuse for not being there! Those Cubs who have impressed us most throughout the year may earn the opportunity to carry the flag. Perfect behaviour is expected throughout the service and parade.

Please submit the form below by Friday 9 November to confirm your Cub's attendance.
