District Sixer and Seconder Camp (10-11 November 2012)

This camp is for Sixers and Seconders only - please do not apply if you are not a Sixer or Seconder

This is a District camp open to all Sixers and Seconders within Oxford Spires. It is specifically aimed at older and more experienced Cub Scouts. They will be camping (yes, outside in November!) on Saturday night and will take part in the Remembrance Day parade in Oxford city centre on Sunday morning. Activities vary but usually include finding out about Scouts, some kind of treasure hunt/hike, planning and cooking their own dinner and a camp fire.

If you would like to watch the parade on Sunday morning, we will be forming up on Magdalen Street East at 10am to set off at 10.20am, marching along St Giles for the service at 10.45am and then off onto Beaumont Street after the two minute silence at 11am.

Cubs who have completed their Chief Scout's Silver Award before September will be invited along to a County award ceremony which unfortunately clashes with this camp (2pm-4pm in Eynsham). We would recommend that Cubs attend the whole of the camp and miss the award ceremony (though make sure that you reply to say they can't go, so that they still receive the special woggle). However, if your Cub would like to attend both he is able to do so - he should be collected from the camp at 1pm and returned when the ceremony finishes.

Please submit the form below by Friday 26 October to confirm your Cub's attendance.
