Challenge Report
It was perfect pond dipping weather and we had an excellent pond dipping location, surrounded by wooden platforms. Wearing their welly boots and equipped with nets, buckets and trays the Cubs spent half an hour collecting their specimens in a pond swarming with wildlife - tiny things, squirmy things, wriggly things, flappy things and slimy things. They then headed back to the classroom and had a closer look at what they had caught - using microscopes, magnifying glasses and ID cards they worked out what they had captured, before returning everything safely to the pond.
