Promise, Law and Motto

Every Cub Scout makes the Promise when he is invested into the Pack. As a part of the Promise, a Cub Scout promises to keep the Cub Scout Law, so Cubs are also required to say this during their investiture, to show that they know it.

Cubs can choose to make a promise to do their duty to God, or can choose to make the non-religious promise. There are also slightly different versions for Muslims and Hindus and also for those who do not wish to make a promise to do their duty the Queen - please just ask if a different version would be appropriate for your Cub!
Cub Scout Promise

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God
And to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law
Cub Scout Promise (non-religious)

I promise that I will do my best
To uphold our Scout values
To do my duty to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law
Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day
